Born and raised in Edmonton, Sam is first and foremost a media enthusiast.
While studying Mechanical Engineering at the University of Alberta, he felt trapped under unsolved non-linear differential equations and sought a creative outlet by volunteering his time as a photographer to the student newspaper, The Gateway. Realizing his passion for the smell of fresh ink on newsprint and discovering that special stroke of genius which can only occur right before a critical deadline was all Sam needed to become hooked for life.
Following a stint as the Photo and Graphics Editor for The Griff, Sam moved to Toronto to serve over a year as President of Canadian University Press. He then returned back to Edmonton to finish his degree and work for over two years for Capital Ideas at the Edmonton Journal.
He is now co-founder of Full Circle Visuals and continues to expand on his passion for photography through personal projects and professional assignments.
